Planned Maintenance for Commercial and Residential Garage Doors

May 20, 2021 | Residential

Perhaps the largest moving parts in a home or business are garage doors. For many businesses and homeowners, the garage door makes up a large part of the exterior. To keep your garage door operating smoothly, it’s important to keep up with regular preventative care and maintenance.

Properly maintained equipment is important for a variety of reasons. Not only should you schedule maintenance to prolong the lifespan of the garage door, but to provide continued safety and security. Discover more about preventative garage door maintenance below:

Our Maintenance Process

Our maintenance starts with a free site survey. Before we begin any work, we document the condition of your garage door equipment and provide recommendations for your evaluation. Once you have been given the results of our survey and our recommendations for service, it is up to you to authorize services and set scheduled intervals of maintenance. This might be monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually, or whatever works best for your garage.

We can also schedule your maintenance times to best fit the schedule of your facility or home and typically preschedule them between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM.

What to Expect from Our Visit

At each visit, our technicians perform a variety of services, depending on your needs at the time. This might include services to garage doors and operators, electric openers, air openers, sectional doors, and manual hydraulic air dock levelers. Our technicians will ensure that your doors have proper lubrication, check for any necessary adjustments, and ensure sensors are working correctly, among other routine inspections and repairs.

After our technicians visit, they will leave a complete checklist of all the services that were performed in that visit. We will also include any suggested updates or repairs. Before we proceed with any additional work, we document our suggestions for authorization.

Whether you are a business that relies on garage doors or a homeowner looking to save money and energy, regular maintenance is important. We all use our garage doors multiple times a day, at any given hour, and through all seasons. Request scheduled maintenance from the experts at American Door Works.
